About CompareYourGPU
CompareYourGPU exists to answer one question properly: which graphics card is right for you, and why.

What this site is
There is no shortage of places to look up a graphics card specification. There are far fewer that will take your monitor, your games and your budget and tell you what to buy, then show you the reasoning so you can disagree with it.
CompareYourGPU is built around that second job. The specification database, the comparison tool and the buying guides all exist to support the recommendation, and everything is computed from one dataset so the advice and the data cannot drift apart.
What we will not do
The hardest constraint on this project is that nothing is invented. No frame rate, price, temperature, noise measurement, rating or review appears anywhere unless it comes from a manufacturer, a cited third-party measurement, or a documented model that identifies itself as an estimate.
That has visible consequences. The measured benchmark database is currently empty, and the site says so rather than filling the tables with plausible-looking numbers. No card shows a current street price, because none has been verified. Where a specification is not published, the page says the data is unavailable instead of estimating it.
We think a smaller amount of checkable data is worth more than a larger amount you have to take on trust.
How it is funded
CompareYourGPU will eventually carry retailer links that pay a commission, and advertising. Both are disclosed where they appear. Neither is an input to any calculation: there is no field on a graphics card record that a commission rate could influence, and no way for a manufacturer or retailer to buy a placement.
The methodology page sets out exactly how every ranking on the site is produced, so the claim above is checkable rather than a promise.
