Affiliate disclosure

The Amazon Associates programme for amazon.es is approved and the associate tag is configured. Affiliate links are live on the pages of a number of graphics cards. A tag alone does not make a link: each one points to a specific product page on amazon.es that was checked by hand before the link was published, and a button appears only where such a page was verified.

Where a card has no verified product page it has no retailer link, and the purchase section says so rather than rendering a button that goes nowhere. Every block of links is disclosed beside the button.

An affiliate link is an ordinary link to a retailer that carries a tag identifying CompareYourGPU as the referrer. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be otherwise.

Affiliate links on this site are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" and open in a new tab, and a short disclosure is shown next to every block of them.

This is worth stating precisely rather than as a promise of good behaviour. Every ranking on CompareYourGPU is computed from a graphics card's specification and price data by the rules set out on the methodology page. A card record has no field for commission rate, retailer relationship or referral value, and the scoring functions read no such field, because none exists.

The practical consequence is that a card with no retailer link at all can, and does, win categories over cards that would earn us money. Adding an affiliate URL to a product changes exactly one thing: a button appears on its page.

CompareYourGPU participates in the Amazon Associates programme for the Spanish marketplace, amazon.es, under the associate tag compareyourgpu-21. The programme requires the following disclosure, reproduced here in the wording it prescribes:

As an Amazon Associate, CompareYourGPU earns from qualifying purchases. That English sentence is Amazon's own rendering of the Spanish text above and is provided because this site is written in English; the Spanish wording is the one the programme requires.

Amazon is an independent retailer. It does not sponsor, endorse, recommend or review CompareYourGPU, it has no involvement in how graphics cards are scored or ranked here, and nothing on this site is published on Amazon's behalf. Participation in the programme is a referral arrangement and nothing more.

No associate tag for any other Amazon marketplace is configured. A tag issued for amazon.es does not earn on amazon.com or any other storefront, so links to those marketplaces are not published.

Where a card shows a current price, it is a figure that was observed on a named listing on a stated date, and it is shown with both. It is a snapshot rather than a live feed, and it is not necessarily the listing the retailer link opens, so treat the retailer's own page as the authority on what the card costs today. Prices observed in euros are converted to US dollars at the exchange rate recorded with them. Cards with no observed price show their launch MSRP, labelled as such. We make no claim about whether a product is in stock.

We will not present a discount, a stock status or a limited-time offer that we have not verified, regardless of what an affiliate feed makes available.
